The Access Grid is a worldwide collection of resources which allow multimedia displays, presentations and interactive environments, including group-to-group videoconferencing. There are several hundred access grid nodes worldwide, one of which is located at VPAC. There are 30 Access Grid nodes within Australia, allowing graduates and professionals to engage in collaborative research with peers within Australia and internationally.
Virtual meetings using the Access Grid can be conducted with as few as one participant, who could be located on the other side of the world or in the next building. Each meeting is easy to set-up, comfortable and is as interactive as a conventional face-to-face meeting. This is enabled by a user interface that is intuitive, easy to use and navigate.
VPAC Partners, Members and Users are able to use this exciting advanced video conferencing facility free of charge. Please send an email to accessgrid@vpac.org, or phone +613 9925 4947 for more information or to arrange a booking.
