VPAC Committees

Member Support Committee

The role of the Member Support Committee is broadly defined as follows:

  • Monitor the progress of current VPAC Member funding programs.
  • Approve VPAC guidelines for funding and make recommendations to the Board.
  • Review the Member Support Report (including Member ROI reports), which provides updates on Member funding programs and details of collaborative efforts/projects with Members.
  • Proactively make suggestions on how VPAC can more effectively support their University through means such as collaborative efforts between VPAC, Members, Industry, Education and Training.
  • Participate in the review process for High Performance Computing hardware purchases.

Operations Committee

The role of the Member Support Committee is broadly defined as follows:

  • Review general operations of the VPAC Supercomputing Systems.
  • Review usage and distribution of usage across Institutes.
  • Represent users and present their suggestions, complaints and problems.
  • Work with VPAC to develop projects that advance the interests of VPAC and their university.
  • Authorise (on behalf of their Institute) the creation of a new VPAC project.
