Monash eResearch Centre eXPO 25th-27th August 2010

Monash University e-Research Centre is holding a three day exhibition, from 25-27 August, which will highlight how innovative eResearch technologies are transforming both research and academia.

Researchers, staff, students and external visitors to Monash University are welcome to attend this event which will feature a range of live eResearch demonstrations and talks by VPAC and Monash staff on the use of High Performance Computing (HPC) and visualisation services, eResearch support services and effective data storage and management.

VPAC technical experts will present the following seminars and live demonstrations:

26 August at Booth 4:

  • 10.00am-10.30am Patrick Sunter & Andrew Underwood
    VPAC: full-spectrum computational E-Research support
This talk will provide an overview of E-Research support capabilities VPAC provides to Monash University and MeRC, focusing on the the Monash node of the AuScope National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy. Research support is provided through VPAC scientific applications development, supercomputer services, on-site High Performance Computing services, middleware, tools, and grid-computing through to workflow tools and project management assistance.
