VPAC operates a state of the art High Performance Computing (HPC) Facility providing advanced computing support to researchers within our Member Universities, Research Organisations and Industry.

The VPAC Supercomputing Facility is currently being utilised by over 800 researchers from Universities and Research Institutes all over Victoria, conducting over 300 projects in the fields of Engineering, Geophysics, Health, Life Sciences and Spatial Information.

Our HPC Users are fully supported to ensure they receive maximum benefit from our HPC Facilities. Highly experienced systems support and subject matter experts are available to assist you with applying HPC to your research, as well as intensive training courses and tutorials to help you with using our Supercomputers.

Apply for an Account

Staff and students employed or enrolled at any of VPAC’s Member Universities may gain access to VPAC’s HPC Facilities at no additional cost. To become an HPC User, apply for an account.

Access may also be provided to Industry, however, it is subject to an appropriate arrangement with VPAC. Interested persons should contact hpcconsult@vpac.org.

Tutorials

VPAC provides a range of practical tutorials leading VPAC HPC Users through key features and functions of various software applications installed on VPAC's High Performance Computers. These tutorials range from the very basic to expert application tutorials. See more
